Industrial & Commercial Electrician

With over 40 years of reliability, trust, and consistently high-quality workmanship, Level Electrical Ashburton has built long-standing relationships with many of Mid Canterbury’s Government departments, factories, processing plants, and building companies. This reputation has positioned us as one of the leading electrical contracting companies in the region.

Our Commercial & Industrial division is led by Brent, who brings over 30 years of local industry experience. Brent has worked extensively across council waterway programmes, water treatment plants, factories, and other critical infrastructure, designing, implementing, and maintaining electrical systems for some of the district’s most vital operations.

Brent is supported by a team of highly skilled and experienced electricians who are committed to delivering reliable, efficient, and compliant solutions.

Level Electrical Ashburton offers far more than electrical design and installation. Our team is trained and experienced in programming and automation, allowing us to support projects from initial design and implementation through to commissioning, ongoing maintenance, and servicing.

Because we work closely with businesses and understand how costly downtime and electrical failures can be, we tailor proactive maintenance programmes using advanced testing equipment and thermal imaging technology to help prevent issues before they occur. For added peace of mind, we also provide a 24-hour on-call service to ensure faults are resolved as quickly and efficiently as possible.

In addition, Level Electrical Ashburton has IQP-certified electricians who are authorised to inspect, maintain, and report on a wide range of building systems. These include ventilation and air conditioning systems, emergency lighting, automatic doors, fire alarms, hose reels, fire extinguishers, and more.

Industrial & Commercial FAQs

A PLC programmer oversees the programming of various machines functioning on programmable logic controller technology. PLC technology is a digital computer that controls electromagnetic processes, primarily in industrial equipment.

While commercial electricians work in residences, commercial buildings, or outside, industrial electricians work in industrial facilities like power plants, warehouses, and mines. The type of control systems and equipment they maintain often means they have more specialised expertise.

The lighting in a commercial interior can significantly impact customers' experiences. Proper lighting can draw attention to displays, products, or focal points, making them more visually appealing. It can also guide customers through the space, enhancing wayfinding and navigation and making their whole shopping experience more valuable.

The short answer is - Yes we can! Whatever the circumstances, the emergency lighting installation process will start with an industry-approved electrician or fire risk assessor visiting you to survey your premises and discuss your specific requirements. Emergency lights must indicate the nearest exit and provide sufficient illumination to guide building occupants to safety in the event of a mains power failure. For emergency lights to function during mains failure, they must immediately switch to their backup battery.
